Snacks To Release Video, "GASA: Memory Overload":
12/22/09
Snacks, known for their infamous video posts including "Turkish Snack Wars" and "Exquisite Dancin' Corpses", are working on the production of their epic "GASA: Memory Overload". A message from them about this project: "Snacks are in the midst of a large video project, titled 'GASA: Memory Overload'. It is a 'yolking' of all or most of our various interests from the past 8 years of our being. It's a "silent movie" of sorts, but perhaps more appropriately it's a cartoon with "real" people and "sets". Possibly running to more than 45 mins, utilizing contributions from many of the people we know, it is by far the biggest bird we've put into the oven in the 8 years...." Checkout a blog about the video at http://gasa-sssnacksss.blogspot.com/ There are pics and commentary and soon there will be trailers and teasers.

Dusted Posts Needle Gun Review - The challenging Harry Pussy album that never saw the light of day:
10/21/09
"OK, here's a joke for the ladies: What type of Harry Pussy album does Needle Gun's s/t LP resemble? Give up? Well, that would be the one they kept sitting around for years in the event they had to initiate the three-pronged whammy of terminating a contractual agreement, getting sued, or cleaning the cobwebs out of their unwieldy fan-base! In case you didn't understand the word-count advancement coupon just used as an opening, it means that Needle Guns take the free/spazz-noise rock to the harsh lands on the other side of the most challenging of Harry Pussy albums. The racket made by Miami's favorite whatever-the-hell-they-were trio isn't the only thing going on here, as it's a tighter attack than most who toil in these thankless waters. Hey, if only they could travel back in time to when SPIN did that spread on noise?!? Uh, no, this may be too crazy! In closing: Thumbs up on the cover art! Two sentient trees arguing, but it's obviously the type of arms-crossed and nose-in-the-air argument that bickering, elderly couples are traditionally supposed to have.

Also an enthusiastic review from Foxy Digitalis, with Robert Oberlander commenting:
"It's nasty, raw, unhinged, and it freaks my cat out. That has to count for something."

New Ehse website is up:
10/14/09
So the big news is that we have a completely reformatted website. Much thanks to Tim Kearley for web design and Erin Womack for artwork. We'll have an
EHSE blog up soon so I can break impulsive news right off the top of my head. Everything is now way easier to navigate and it is much easier to select MP3s for your listening pleasure. As always, MP3s of the entire album are available for you to listen free of charge. LPs and CD-Rs (with high resolution digital files) are available for purchase on each of the album pages. MP3s are also available for download at a price of your choosing (free is ok, but we sure would appreciate a donation if you can muster it). Hope you like the new format...

Ok, now on to the Recent Releases. We have had a run of really great and varied releases in 2009 thus far. The cryptically beautiful "Proud Flesh" soundtrack by Harrius; the (self-titled) improvised noise chaos of Needle Gun; and the industry noise pop of "Quantas" by Sejanyo. We have several planned Upcoming Releases, including "All Songs Go To Heaven" by Lizz King and albums by Salamander Wool (aka Carson Garhart) "Lunarsophic Somnambulist" and Ami Dang!. Stay tuned....and thanks for listening.
